The District Employment and Career Guidance Centers at Coimbatore and Tiruppur are looking forward to increase the success rate of candidates who will undergo free coaching to appear for Service Commission Group 1 and Group II/II A examinations Tamil Nadu Public (TNPSC).
In TNPSC Combined Civil Service Examination Recruitment 2024, ninety vacancies have been announced in Group I category, for the posts of Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Category-1), Assistant Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Taxes), Deputy Registrar of the Cooperative. Societies, Assistant Director of Rural Development, District Employment Officer in Tamil Nadu General Service and District Officer (Fire and Rescue Services).
About 2030 posts will be filled in Group II and Group II A. The exam will be held on 13 July 2024.
During the past year, eight candidates, who had undergone training at the District Employment Office, had managed to pass the Group II examination, and five candidates, who had undertaken the recruitment training at TNRUSB for Sub-Inspectors, had their post.
District Employment Office Coimbatore has a library with a collection of over 5000 books and participants of the free training program and others studying from home can also avail the departments Virtual Learning Portal: tamilnaducareerservices.tn.gov.in, to source content for competitive exams, syllabus, question papers, mock tests and books for TNPSC exams as well as UPSC civil services exam, according to senior officials.
The library has books on current affairs, general knowledge and SSC CGL (Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level) exam.
There are also facilities for equipping candidates for the examinations at the District Employment and Career Guidance Center at Tiruppur.
Department of Employment and Training has provided free coaching courses for various exams like TNPSC (Group I, Group II, Group IV, Group VIIB/ VIII), Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (PC and SI), Test of Eligibility of Teachers, Staff Selection Commission, Institute Bank Staff Selection Recruitment and Railway Recruitment Board.
Weekly tests and mock tests are conducted for the participants of the free training programme, which will start in Coimbatore on June 3.
In Tiruppur district, the free training program will begin on Friday at the District Employment and Career Guidance Centre.
